Artist profile of Jani Mutikainen

Born in 1974 in Tuusula, Finland.

Been drawing since could hold pen.

In young age got most influence from superherocomicbooks of Marvel and DC. Favourite artists include John Byrne, Arthur Adams and Jim Lee among others.

Later on got interested in japanese manga and specially works of Shirow Masamune.

Worked mostly with pen and paper with computer aided colouring.

Started self-learning acrylic painting in 2008. Been painting with acrylics as main medium since then.

Started studies of artprint (linocut, copper etching, aquatint, serigraph) in 2014.

Is also known as facial hair enthusiast and collector of skin art.
